Why Does My Mp3s Sound Choppy Using Winamp But Not On Windows Media Player? How To Fix It?

Soundcard And Music Players
Asked by: travelplus
When I playback my MP3 on Winamp they go in and out and sound choppy. When I listen to an online broadcast my sound is perfect. If it has something to do with the buffer what should it be set to? Any special output settings to fix? I love Winamp but loathe this choppy files. I tried other media players and they play the same MP3 file perfectly. I know it's not my soundcard or speakers because I hear the WIndows XP sound when it turns on, I can play my CDs without a problem and listen to online broadcast.
Any help ASAP would be most appreciative. I did a search online without any help. I'm running the latest WInamp Version
