no mixer required! i really like the fact that you are able to change the all the 8 input signals with physical knobs instead of sliders on the computer.

quality:
the knobs are a bit small and fiddly, but one in all it looks ok.

value:
i don't think you are able to get a better 8(10 inc. digital in) track, 8 pream firewire/usb product for this price

sound:
excellent sound, the preamps are great, 2 instrument inputs also do their job.

overall:
i want another one in the future!
