Acid Loops

I need to know of a program that will let me create my own loops and samples to use in acid pro 6. I have used Cakewalk Kinetic and it did the job but was very fiddly and the sound wasn't very good. Obviously I have heard of Reason 3 and all that but I can't afford it, or get a copy to work on my PC. I want to create good sounding samples and drum loops to remix my tunes from my library. Also I have heard of Drum and Bass rig and found it not very good either. Please help
