Cakewalk Sonar Producer Recording

Asked by: dragu

Hey i was recording audios in Cakewalk SONAR 5 Producer edition and they sound really fuzzy, i dont know how to reduce the fuzzyness, ive got all my stuff (keyboard, mic, and drum machine) plugged into a mixer (which its not the mixers fault for the fuzzyness cuz its a top quality mackie mixer) and the mixer is pluged into the Line In in my computer. And the recordings sound really fuzzy, other times they havent been that fuzzy, please help, and if you could, please provide some websites that could help me out about stuff like this, 10 points goes to the most helpful : )

If you're using top quality machines. ...are you using top quality cables? In Line signal can have loss due to poor cables. The best cables that I've seen on the market are made by Monster (I work for a national electronics retailer.) If you're going to spend the money to get the good machines, you have to get the good cables, too. Otherwise, the whole setup is worthless. A chain is only as strong as its weakest link, you know

I am an audio enthusiast and want to make music of my own. I got the url of your site in google, while I was searching some tips for mixing sound. Thanks for the stuff you guys have posted on your site, they have really helped me a lot.

I work on FL Studio 5 to make my compositions. I also have Adobe Audition and Nuendo ver 3 (Windows), which someone has told me is a tool to master compositions.

Some days ago I checked the Adobe Audition help, which gave me a very faint idea about the process of mastering. From what I have come to know, the first phase of mastering is an analys of the audio track. I have analysed my tracks but don't know what to do with the data I get after the analysis? and there are different analysers too. I'm in a fix. PLz help. what do I do next?

thanx.
