I have an onboard signet soundcard. Everytime I listen to mp3 music and open another application, it breaks the music. Can i do something about this?

Try updating your sound driver. If that doesnt work then it might be a good idea to get a more updated sound card or audio interface.

What kind do you have? Go to Control Panel, Systems, and then Sound/Audio Devices.

Try http://www.Soundcard-drivers.com to look for your sound driver after searching for your sound card.
