I have a mixer that does not have a usb port. Other than running my laptop through the headphone jack, is there a cable that will let me run the laptop through one of my channel

Sounds like you may need Firewire. Contact the folks at Pro Sound and Stage Lighting via internet at pssl. Com or via telephone (which I would recommend in this instance) at 1-800-945-9300 and they'll fix you right up
