My bad. ..I meant AND looping not OR....i know what looping is i just dont understand what chopping is..because every beat is a loop and ive read interviews of producers like 9th wonder saying that he chopped tha threat record he did with jay-z, he didnt loop it..

Chopping is cuttin down a sample into pieces to fit ur requirement that allows u to time stretch or stutter or add any other Special FX. Loopin is jus a process of playin the same sample repetatively in a groove
